Charity Will Month

Once again, we will be carrying out our Charity Will Month to help support local and national charities and encourage local people to make sure they have their affairs on order by putting in place a will.

Last year we supported Phabkids and helped to raise over £11,000 through the Charity Will Month.

In the past we have supported Macmillan Cancer Support, Help for Heroes, Alder Hey, the Neonatal unit at Ormskirk Hospital and Derian House Children’s Hospice. Since 2009 we have raised over £73,000 for local and national charities. Since running the scheme we have made wills for clients in Ormskirk, Southport, Formby, Burscough, Parbold, Skelmersdale and throughout Lancashire and Merseyside via our Charity Will Month.

This year we are supporting the Alzheimer’s Society and Ormskirk Civic Hall. The Civic Hall is now run by a group of local volunteers who work hard to maintain the building and ensure it is available for the local community and for the people of Ormskirk to benefit from. The Alzheimer’s Society works to support individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia, many of our clients and colleagues have been affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia at some point.

We are proud to be working with both the Alzheimer’s Society and Ormskirk Civic Hall and hope to raise as much money as possible for two fantastic causes.

The scheme works by clients making a donation to the charities rather than paying our usual fee for the preparation of a simple will. The recommended minimum donation for a simple single will is £60 and £120 for simple mirror wills.
